Feeding Therapy
Feeding therapy provides support and training to teach the child to eat or to eat better. We have Occupational and Speech Therapists with specialized training in sensory-based, oral-motor, and medically-based feeding disorders.
We provide therapy for infants and children who have trouble eating/feeding, sucking, chewing, swallowing. Our therapists work with families and other medical professionals to determine the underlying cause of the feeding difficulty, which can include sensory aversions, medical conditions, anatomical differences, and more. The therapy approach is determined by the cause of the feeding disorder and always includes the family to maximize carryover of skills into the home setting.
Regardless of the cause of the mealtime struggle, a feeding therapist can assist in reducing the stress and anxiety on both the child and the family.
